Starting a walk

Open Walk and tap Start Walk. Allow location access when prompted. Use Pee and Poop for quick events, Pause to take a break, and Finish to save. You can return to the active walk after switching tabs.

The location button in Walk shows your position on the map and requests location permission if needed. It does not start or save a walk.

Your free walks and Wuffu+

Start with 3 free saved walks. Reinstalling on the same device does not reset the allowance. With iCloud sync enabled, devices on the same account share a cumulative allowance; offline counts reconcile when they sync.

Wuffu+ includes unlimited walk recording, full activity statistics and walking Live Activities through a monthly or annual auto-renewable subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Annual is selected by default. Open Settings → Wuffu+ to see each plan's current App Store price and billing period, purchase or restore.

Viewing, editing, favoriting, exporting and deleting existing records and photos, plus optional iCloud sync, remain available without an upgrade. Deleting records or ending a subscription does not restore used free walks. A walk that has already started can still be finished and saved.

Annual free trial

An annual plan may offer a 7-day free trial when the App Store returns that offer and confirms your eligibility. Check the offer and renewal price shown in Wuffu and Apple's purchase confirmation before subscribing. The monthly plan has no free trial; the lifetime plan is a one-time purchase.

Live Activities

Wuffu+ can show your dog's thumbnail, name and walking time on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island during an active walk. Expand the activity to add Pee or Poop to that walk. Dynamic Island requires a compatible iPhone. Pause, finish or an expired Wuffu+ entitlement can stop those event actions. You can control Live Activities in iOS Settings.

Managing a subscription

Monthly and annual subscriptions provide the same benefits and renew automatically unless cancelled. Use Manage subscription on the Wuffu+ page or open your App Store subscription settings to change plans or cancel renewal. Cancelling renewal keeps access through the paid period. When an entitlement expires or is revoked, Wuffu restricts new recording beyond the cumulative free allowance and access to full statistics and Live Activities; your existing journal, basic profile totals and optional iCloud sync remain available. Lifetime is a one-time purchase without recurring payments.

A purchase did not unlock Wuffu+

Check that the device uses the Apple Account that made the purchase, then use Restore purchase on the Wuffu+ page. A purchase awaiting approval unlocks when the App Store confirms it. If the store is unavailable, try again with a working connection. For billing or refund requests, use Apple's Report a Problem.

Location or a route is missing

Check Settings → Permissions in Wuffu and its location permission in iOS Settings. GPS quality varies with buildings, trees, weather and device conditions. A paused walk or a gap in location updates can produce separate route segments. Wuffu does not invent missing route points.

Photos

Open the dog's profile to choose a profile photo, or open a saved walk to add photos. Selecting an image stores a local copy. Existing imported photos remain viewable if photo-library permission later changes. Use the relevant photo action to remove an image from Wuffu.

iCloud sync

iCloud sync is available for free and you can enable it in Settings. Sign in to iCloud on the device and ensure storage and a network connection are available. Completed walks, their photos and the dog profile can sync; active walks do not. Usage counters synchronize separately so deleting records does not reset the allowance.

If iCloud is unavailable, you can continue recording locally subject to the allowance currently known on your device or a Wuffu+ entitlement. Turning sync off stops new synchronization and leaves existing cloud records in place. If the iCloud account changes, enable sync again only after checking which account should receive your journal.

If the iCloud journal was removed through system settings, local records and known free-walk counts are kept. Journal uploads pause until you turn sync off and on to upload local records again.

Exporting, deleting or changing phones

Open a saved walk and choose GPX or JSON export. Keep exported copies somewhere you control. They can include private location and time information.

Restoring Wuffu+ restores the purchase entitlement. Journal recovery depends separately on prior iCloud sync or your own backups. Without sync, removing the app can remove local records; export records you want to keep before deleting Wuffu or changing phones. The app does not import a journal from GPX or JSON in this release.

Reporting an issue

Open Settings → Feedback and describe what happened and the steps that led to the issue. Include logs is off by default. If enabled, it attaches a diagnostic snapshot with app and iOS versions, permission and recording states, saving and usage counts, and broad age and accuracy categories for the last recorded point. It excludes coordinates, routes, record text, photos, account or device identifiers, and purchase information. Use View logs to review it.

Send feedback opens the system mail composer or sharing controls, where you choose whether to send and which destination receives the message and optional snapshot. You can also email wuffu@sent.com. Review anything you add yourself, remove private location details, and do not send passwords or payment information.
